Categorisation Underway - RSS Effects

Hi, Well, here is the newly categorised spaceship.  Then I had a sinking feeling.  I have to re-save the post to categorise it, so I imagine that this is going to drive your average RSS feed batshit.  So, if you suddenly see a million entries from me, apologies, but I don't know of a better way to do this...

Darkness Lifted in the Spaceship

Been looking at the design, and thinking it was maybe a bit too radical, when I got some (very polite) feedback from a reader that maybe the white on black thing detracted from the readability of the overall blog.  That crystalised my own doubts, and so here we go for a black on white but much cleaner approach.  My main objection to the old style imposed by typepad basic was the font, so that is going to move to Arial, which is what I use for everything.

Hope that the changes are an improvement.  And I will do the categorisation once I have cleared a particularly heavy backlog of work.

Next in the HouseKeeping - Categorisation!

OK, Have the new darkly spaceship look.  Next is to try and categorise all fo the postings that I have done to try and make some sort of common thread.  Then I must update my list of blogs that I actually read, as it is wildly out of date and too short.  Actually I quite like taking the time to do these kind of tidy ups, so should be done farily soon.

And then I might get round to writing a bit more.  Have been very busy with the SAP world, and that is not about to slacken off.  I can't talk about specifics for all kinds of revenue recognition reasons, and the fact that some of the deals that I work on are not closed, but SAP in banking is going very well.  Add to that Oracles recent acquisition of the banking software iFlex, and I think that things are only going to get more interesting.  Also Temenos, based here in my home town of Geneva, have announced a development partnership with HSBC, the big bank, who are famous in the IT world for building everything themselves, so that should also prove a source of future interest.  Just as the ERP reaches the end game, the banking one gets into the sharp knees and elbows stage.

Which means that I have lots to do.  Goody.
