Summer Recap Part Two

The Spaceship went on holiday to Italy this year, down near Lucca and Pisa.  Very nice time, went with good friends, and had a relaxing time for the most part hanging out in the swimming pool in the house we rented, or at the beach.  We did go to the Uffizi in Florance for the afternoon to show the kids some high culture, and for me to gawp at Botticelli's Primavera for ages. 

The Smallest Space Cadet of them All got attacked by a statue.  (Not bad for one Euro.)

 

After the Uffizi we wandered up and down the Ponte Vecchio.  Our friends bought jewellery, the Spaceship bought a Coke.  Wild times. 

 

The rest of the time was just sheer bloody grind, as you can see. 

 

Heh.  Great summer, really enjoyed it, but now it's back to work which is looking interesting this fall.  I honestly can't remember being this busy at this time of year for a long time.  

Summer Recap Part One

Well, been blogging light as I have been saying, because I went on holiday for three weeks, and then when I got back, it seems that the whole European banking industry wants to atone for previous sins by installing command and control systems to make sure that none of this ever happens again.  *cough*

Summer fell into three distinct phases this time - We had friends over to stay in the begging of the summer, which was nice, but seems a long time ago now. 

During this time, we had the local harvest, and here are a few shots of the by now traditional tractor and other agricultural machinery parade around the commune.  Convoi Agricole Indeed.

 

All with a distinctly Swiss theme.

 

And all done with a close eye on the strict local health and safety regulations...

 

And if you imagine that you can see people driving heavy agricultural machinery with glasses of white wine in their hands, why, you must be mistaken.

 

Corn safely in the bag for another year. 

I'm Not Dead, Honest

Just really really bleeding busy with getting back to work.  Could be much worse I suppose.

Where's the Spaceship?

Blogging has been very lite here in the Spaceship, as we are in hyper social and holiday mode.

I am in Italy at the moment between Pisa and Lucca, having a well earned rest.

Normal blogging resumes in about ten days time...
