Browsing the Slashdot pages, where they had an interesting article about this Swedish bunch the Pirate Party, who are going to stand for election on a promise that they will work to reform or eliminate the main copyright and patent laws in Sweden. In the comments I came across this gem on the two countries that developed without patents, and did so very well, Switzerland, my adopted homeland, and Holland.
