Uh-Oh. Better get the skis out and the firewood in.

Saw this on Jerry Pournelle's site.  He attracts some interesting readership, and many of his commentators seem to be thoughtful and well-informed.  Now, what this seems to be saying is that the Gulf Stream has been switched off over this year.

That means that the climate in Europe goes from being mild and humid, to being cold and possibly more arid, like the Steppes or Tundra.  Just what we needed.
